- November 18, 2014 - Georgia Department of Transportation to deploy Byers Engineering Company's NexusWorx Fiber Management Software (FMS) in its upcoming 5 year ITS statewide maintenance contract. This will be the sixth State DOT to deploy NexusWorx, making Byers Engineering Company the leading provider of FMS to DOT's.

- January 15, 2014 – Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGL) was recognized by the Georgia Department of Transportation, District 7 (GDOT) for the outstanding quality of its permitting process during 2013. AGL acknowledged its permitting contractor, Byers Engineering Company, for its attention to detail and overall understanding of the GDOT permitting requirements. GDOT stated that the performance of AGL, and its contractor Byers Engineering Company, led to the creation of this award. This new award will continue to be presented by GDOT, District 7 on an annual basis to the utility providing the highest quality of permit submittals during a given year.
- January 14, 2014 - Byers Engineering Company awarded the Mini-Master Agreement by AT&T- SE for BAU design services for the state of Louisiana. This will be the second extension of this contract, which was originally awarded in 2011. The new contract will run through March of 2019.
- January 2, 2014 - Byers Engineering Company awarded the Mini-Master Agreement by AT&T- SE for BAU design services for the state of Alabama. This will be the second extension of this contract, which was originally awarded in 2011. The new contract will run through February of 2019.
- December 20, 2013 - Byers Engineering Company's Aamer Abbasi was recently awarded iBwave® Level 1 Certification through the iBwave® Design Certification Program. The Level 1 certification, demonstrates that you've learned how to use the iBwave® Design platform and how to create, and trouble shoot a project.
- March 31, 2013 - Byers Engineering Company has acquired the assets of Telespan Network Services, LLC. This firm provides site acquisition and A&E design services for such clients as AT&T, Verizon, General Dynamics, Bechtel, Crown Castle, American Tower, and Motorola in AZ and California. This acquisition adds much needed capacity in AZ and Southern CA just in time to take advantage of multiple growth opportunities in that area.

- January 11, 2011 - Byers Engineering Company's engineering group was recently awarded ISO 9001:2008/TL9000 R 5.0 certification from DNV Certification, a leading international certification body. The company passed a series of rigorous process and procedural audits to be certified by the latest international standards for quality in the telecommunications services area. The certification became effective January 10, 2011.
- September 2010 - Byers has established an Australian company to provide planning, engineering and related services to the communications industry in country.
The Australian registered company is listed as Byers Company Pty. Ltd. - October 12, 2010 - Byers Engineering Company awarded Mini-Master Agreements by AT&T- SE for BAU design services in Southern Louisiana, Southern Mississippi, and Outstate Georgia. Cities covered by this contract include New Orleans in LA, Gulfport, Biloxi, Hattiesburg, and Meridian in MS, and Rome, Columbus, Macon, Savannah, Augusta, Athens, and Gainesville in GA.
- August 18, 2010 -- Byers Engineering Company awarded Mini-Master Agreement by AT&T -SE for BAU design services in S. Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. Cities covered by this contract area include Mobile, Montgomery, Opelika, and Selma in AL and Pensacola, Milton, Panama City, and Chipley in the FL Panhandle.

- April 15, 2010 -- Byers Engineering Company executed an amendment to its existing agreement with Mountain Limited (Mountain) allowing it to in-source a group of engineers it had been subcontracting from Mountain to service its ongoing contract with Fairpoint Communications in New England.
